Amazon offers three different credit cards, each with their own unique rewards program. Racking up points on these cards could earn you a free 4k television or other items on Amazon, cash back, or a gift card that pays for a meal out. Still, hundreds of credit cards come with reward programs. The question is whether these Amazon credit card incentives make them worthy of your wallet. This guide will help you decide if one fits your lifestyle. The cards in question are: Amazon Store Card, Amazon Rewards Visa Signature, and Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature.
Each of these cards is a little different, here’s what you need to know. The store card offers simple savings on Amazon purchases. Like most store cards, the interest rate is high above average, but if you’re looking for an Amazon card and don’t have great credit this could be the one for you. This card also offers rewards for Amazon purchases.
Next in line is the Amazon Rewards Visa Signature card. This card is accepted anywhere Visa is, so that’s a big perk. The credit limit is higher, and interest rate lower than the store card. This card also reaps rewards, so if you can qualify with a higher credit score, this is a better choice. Finally, the Prime Rewards card is similar to the Amazon Rewards Visa, but for Prime users. This opens you up to some exclusivity if you use this card to gain travel, cash back and other flexible rewards.
Either the Prime Rewards or Amazon Rewards Visa Signature cards are your best choice for Amazon cards. However, to qualify you have to have a credit score of 650 or higher. So if you don’t qualify for one of these great cards, and really want an Amazon card to get rewards on your online shopping, the store card could work out for you. Just don’t carry a balance.
